Dust protection that never gets lost.

DuCSec keeps the dust caps of LC connectors and SFP modules safely attached right at the fibre-optic cable – within reach, clean and clearly assigned.

What is DuCSec?

The little orange helper for every fibre-optic workstation. DuCSec bundles the dust caps of the LC connector and the SFP module and keeps them safe on the cable or magnetically on the switch.

🧷

Never lose a cap again

The dust caps of the LC connector and SFP module are joined together and stay permanently attached to the fibre-optic cable.

🧲

Clip or magnet variant

Either clipped directly onto the cable or, in the magnetic version, fixed to the switch or any other metal object.

🔗

Clear assignment

Using a second DuCSec, an additional fibre-optic cable – e.g. as a “cold backup” – can be clearly assigned to the correct SFP module.

How it works

In three simple steps the dust caps are safely stored.

1

Remove & join the caps

First remove the dust cap from the LC connector (white) of the fibre-optic cable and attach it inside the dust cap of the SFP module (black).

2

Slide into the DuCSec

Then slide the joined dust caps together into the opening of the DuCSec (orange).

3

Attach – clip or magnet

The DuCSec can be clipped onto the fibre-optic cable or – in the magnet version – fixed to the switch or another metal object.

In use

Neatly wired, dust caps safely stored – and backup cables clearly assigned.

Connected & tidy

The LC connector is connected to the SFP module. The matching dust cap is safely stored on the fibre-optic cable – on the cable itself or, in the magnetic variant, on the switch above the corresponding SFP module.

Assign a cold backup

The LC connector of an additional fibre-optic cable can be attached to a second DuCSec – used for example as a “cold backup” – and thus assigned to the correct SFP module.
